MOSCOW, Jul 1 (PRIME) -- Russia’s power consumption grew by 7.6% on the year and 1.3% as compared with June 2019 to 79.7 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in June 2021, Deputy Energy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak told reporters on Thursday.
“We register positive dynamics in power consumption. In June, consumption of power in the Russian energy system increased by 7.6% as compared with the same period of the previous year to 79.7 billion kWh. In comparable weather conditions, the factor grew by 7.5%. We also registered a 1.3% increase as compared with 2019,” he said.
In January–June, power consumption went up 5.1% on the year to 553 billion kWh, and without the leap day and under comparable weather conditions, the power consumption went up 4%. As compared with January–June 2019, power consumption in 2021 added 2.2%, he said.
